Anticipating inundation, Beo connecting (PHB) channel at RW 07 and 08 Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta, being cleaned on Friday (8/14).

Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit Supervisor and Coordinator, Agus mentioned, his side is cleaning up mud from PHB channel with length about 2 kilometers, width 3 meters and depth 2 meters.
According to him, his side have dredged the mud as deep as 50 centimeters.
Channel on Jalan Ciledug Raya Dredged"Cleaning is done to anticipate inundation and flood in the area," he added.
His side dredged the mud from the channel manually using regular tools such as hoe, crowbar, dustpan, and others.
"As of today, cleaning work has reached 50 percent and targeted to finish next month," he conveyed.
